Margaret T. Zey, 96, of Green Cove Springs, FL, a former Janesville resident died Friday, November 20, 2015 at Haven Hospice, Orange Park, FL. She was born on June 10, 1919 in Turtle Township, Rock County, WI, the daughter of Henry and Mary Templin Urbanowski. She married John B. Zey on June 27, 1947. Margaret was formerly employed as a quality control inspector by Monterey Mills in Janesville. In 1987, she and her husband moved to Sarona, WI. She continued to reside there following his death on August 9, 2000 until December of 2009 when she moved to Florida to be near her son and his family.
Surviving are her son, Melvin (Joyce) Zey of Green Cove Springs, FL, one grandson, Alex J. Zey of Jacksonville, FL, three step-grandchildren, Trace (Damon) Whiteley, Missy (Blain) Meisterhans, Tony (Holly) Cauley, eight step-great-grandchildren, Victoria and Griffin Whiteley, Zachary, Wyatt, Caleb and Seth Meisterhans, Malcolm and Mavis Jane Cauley, one brother, Raymond Urbanowski, one sister, Ruth Beggs, one brother-in-law, Sid Noss, one sister-in-law, Alice Urbanowski, numerous nieces and nephews.. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by ten siblings, Frances Lloyd, Ann Kuhlow, Rose Manthey, George Urbanowski, Isabelle Lloyd, John Urbanowski, Alice Hoffman, Josephine Sullivan, Esther Noss and Marie Dopkins.
Visitation will be from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Henke-Clarson Funeral Home, 1010 N. Wright Rd., Janesville. A committal service will be held in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery Chapel at 11 a.m. Tuesday with Monsignor Donn Heiar officiating.
